WotLK > Cata = Loss in Spellpower?

So i was looking up some of the item changes on wowhead, and one thing that immediately struck me is, almost all my gear will be missing about anywhere from 10 to 30 spellpower after the sp>int conversion assuming int gives 1 sp.

After looking over all the changes, Im going to be losing about 300 spellpower

The same thing happens on rogue leather and hunter mail as well, but a loss of 300 AP isnt quite the same as losing 300 SP.

I know that once 4.0 goes live it won't be long till xpac hits, and gear will reset, I just want to know if this is intentional.

Most likely it is, since a lot of the masteries should more than make up for it once they go live.

We're trying to keep everyone at about the same power level at 80. We want your Fireballs and Flash Heals to show about the same numbers before and after the conversion.

Now as soon as you gain a level from 80 to 81 all bets are off and numbers are going to start changing dramatically.
